After the initial release of the Windows 8 , the reviews were that the windows 8 is damn fast than its predecessors . And after the Final version was released , many were spell bound by its speed ( yeah , spell bound ! )
"Holy shit ! Windows 8 is really fast , wow! "
But it isn't entirely true . Why ? Read it after the jump. .
Now , if you shut down your PC , the Windows 8 shutting down screen loads up , and in a matter of seconds your monitor dozes off , but that doesn't mean that your PC has been completely shutdown . You'll probably notice that you're monitor is blank , so why is my CPU still working ?Well , that's the trick . It just shuts down your monitor , and not your PC giving it a really speedy effect .
So don't switch off the mains after your monitor blanks out , wait for your CPU to sleep and then plug off your mains . Or else you'd eventually harm your PC .
We tested out two PC's and two Laptops , running the official version of Windows 8 pro .
And here are the results .. The laptops screens were blank in a matter of seconds , but the fans were still making up some noise which was also silenced in about 10 secs . Where as in the case of computers , we got the same results as stated above ,but the CPU's took a 'lil bit longer .
