Started a Blog ? Now What ! So here we are again with a sequel of our last post . Technically Feedburner is not so awesome if you have a large Fan Base . Your subscribers get the same ol' Template with feedburner , but with Mailchimp you can make your subscriber a bit happy . Ever saw those pretty email updates by Google or Apple , well this is what Mailchimp is all about .You've got custom templates and more so lets get started .
First head to Mailchimp . And sign up for a free Account . With the free account you can deliver your Newsletter to upto 2000 subscribers and if you want more , you might consider buying a package . But with 2000 subscribers it's great for small blogs .
Using Mailchimp is quite easy . Get started in three steps
- Create A List
- Design a Form
- Send a Campaign
Create A List
What it means is that you need subscribers , insert your subscribers emails manually , or add a simple HTML code ( Form ) for your readers to add them to the subscribers list .Still don't get is download or read this e-book .
Design A Form
So this form is very similar to the basic Subscribtion gadget in Blogger - the feedburner one .
You just have to design a Form and add its link to your blog . The form looks like this - Demo
Send A Campaign
This is the crucial part and eats up a lot of your time . In this also you've got options . You can either choose pre-designed templates or design your own , or just plain text .
I'd go for pre-designed templates . And there are hundreds of templates to suit your blog theme .
Set up your e-mail newsletter and send it off .
We'll soon add a video tutorial Stay tuned and Subscribe !
And if you need any help , just comment
